Customizer Seminar Spotlight

by ~Bobby Dalto

July 23nd 2005 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Room: TBA

Photographer and 1/6th Collector Bobby Dalto wears many hats. He has been collecting 1/6th scale for about six years, and so far boasts a collection totalling approximately 300 figures (plus vehicles and various diorama pieces). As a customizer, Bobby's company "Wartime Structures" features an extensive line of handmade war-torn buildings, telephone poles, road signs & other 1/6th accessories. And finally, Bobby's "real job" is as a photographer and owner of Photographics -- a commercial/fashion studio in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Applying his photographic expertise to 1/6th scale, Bobby has served as the principal photographer on some of the most dramatic and realistic photoshoots in the hobby -- including the "Pegasus Bridge" and "D-Day, the 6th of June" shoots in North Carolina, as well as the now-famous "Thousand Man March".

In his one-hour seminar at DX'05, "Photographing One Sixth Scale Figures", Bobby will share some pro techniques and helpful hints for 'shooting' 1/6th figures and dioramas (with a camera, of course) -- both in the backyard and indoor settings. Topics will include the use of different light sources, composition, using depth, realistic posing, special effects, and much more ... not to mention lots of visual aids, lighting and studio equipment, and giant poster prints!

If you enjoy photographing figures and dioramas, this is one seminar you won't want to miss ... and you'll see it only at Dragon Expo 2005!
